Alisha Tagert joined the KETK News team as a production assistant in January 2022 and was promoted to Digital Content Producer in July 2022.
A central Texas native she graduated from China Spring High School where she proudly led the award-winning marching band to multiple first division sweepstake competitions. Aside from her time spent with the band, she was equally passionate about playing softball, not only for the school but with multiple ASA tournament teams. Her scholastic passion was always English and history, being honored with the English award for excellence her junior and senior years. She spent many summers and weekends hunting, fishing and waterskiing with her family and carries those hobbies with her to this day.
After high school Alisha moved to Dallas where her career with a CD replication company afforded her the opportunity to travel extensively taking her across the pond at times. She often refers to this time as her “college years”, immersing herself in geographical history and various different cultures especially the food and music.
Her career path led to project management for various industries such as general contracting, software development, oil and gas, and business development. Her greatest accomplishment, however, would be her role as a mother and her strong family ties.
She moved to East Texas with her family in 2008 and considers it her forever home. Being able to now serve her community is something she takes extreme pride and joy in.
