Ashlyn Anderson joined KETK in July of 2022.
A native of Grand Prairie Texas, she graduated from Sam Houston State University (GO BEARKATS) with a Bachelors in Mass Communications with a concentration in Multiplatform Journalism and a minor in Communication Studies with honors. While in college she was an active reporter, producer and weather anchor for her school’s new station, Channel 7.
Ashlyn has loved the news ever since she was a child. She looks up to Robin Roberts and watched her every morning growing up. Through her studies, she has found a passion for every aspect of the news industry. While she will be in front of the camera and on your screens, Ashlyn has a huge appreciation for the behind-the-scenes work as well.
When she’s not at the station Ashlyn enjoys hanging out with friends, roller-skating, and exploring outdoors. She is so excited to call East Texas her new home and can’t wait to tell your stories.
