David Gibson joined the KETK News team in August 2021 as a Weekend Sports Anchor/ Reporter. David comes to us from our sister station in Minot, North Dakota where he covered all types of sports but the big one was hockey.
As a kid, David always had a passion for sports and writing and being a positive influence. He became a Sports journalist to put those passions together.
Born and raised in League City, Texas, he graduated from Sam Houston State University with a B.A. in Mass Communications with a concentration in Multiplatform Journalism. “Eat ’em up Kats!!!”
David enjoys being a journalist. He is extremely excited to tell great stories in East Texas
