Garrett Sanders is the sports reporter and weekend sports anchor at KETK. He joined the news team in 2011.
Garrett is a native East Texan, who grew up in the historic city of Henderson, where he found his love for sports on the football field with the Lions.
He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2011 and is a proud Longhorn.
During college, he stared honing his skills by making YouTube videos about the Longhorns and Cowboys, which gained quite a following.
You may see Garrett running up and down the sidelines for “Friday Football Fever” or getting highlights courtside.
He also loves featuring East Texas athletes who have great stories to tell, such as a quarterback from Spring Hill recovering from a brutal head injury, and seeing how all of East Texas came together after a football player tragically lost his life on the field.
In his free time he enjoys being overly critical about movies and inundating himself with nerd culture i.e. his desk at work.
