James is the host of East Texas Live on KETK since 2023. He was born in Tyler (when the hospital was still called Mother Francis) and went to Chapel Hill K-12, followed by ETBU.
James started his broadcast career on radio in Dallas in 2002. After stops in Oklahoma, and a few years at SiriusXM, James was on radio and TV in New Orleans for 16 years.
Being able to raise his four kiddos in East Texas was a dream come true for the Parker family, and you can probably see them bouncing around between their hobbies of playing music, soccer, theater, church, guns and video games.
In his 20+ years of broadcasting, James has won no awards, and doesn’t plan on breaking his streak anytime soon. James hold licenses and certifications in nothing as well.
