Nico Grayson (they/them) joined the KETK team in June of 2023 as a Digital Content Producer. Nico was born and raised in Tyler, and have built a strong community in the area.
Nico graduated as salutatorian at Early College High School where they obtained an associates degree in Business Administration from Tyler Junior College. They continued their education at the University of Texas at Austin where they graduated with two degrees in Communication & Leadership and International Relations & Global Studies with a focus in culture, media, and the arts.
Nico’s main interests within their field include journalism, narrative storytelling, creative directing, communication for social change, media disinformation and ethics, and community organizing. Professionally, Nico has had the opportunity to work in many different sectors that they are passionate about, such as equitable housing, education accessibility, and mental health advocacy.
Aside from work, their favorite hobby is writing songs and producing music. They are also a writer for the Tyler Loop, and they contribute to mutual aid organizations. In their free time, they enjoy live music, farmers markets, and spending time in nature. Nico is eager to build an even bigger community of fellow creatives while they grow as a writer at KETK.
