Olivia Sandusky joined the KETK news team in September 2018. She is from Southern California and is excited to call East Texas her new home. Olivia attended the University of San Diego for her undergraduate degree where she was a division one softball player.
Following that, she went to the University of Southern California and received a master’s degree in broadcast journalism. While at USC, she traveled to the 2018 Olympics in PyeongChang as a freelance journalist. At the Olympics, she was able to talk to several medalists.
After graduation, Olivia worked as a freelance for the Associated Press covering the Dodgers. She also interned at NBC 7 in San Diego in both the news and sports departments.
When she’s not in the newsroom, Olivia can most likely be found watching sports, baking or going for a run. She loves to be active and enjoys spending time with animals. Olivia has a passion for storytelling and loves to hear from the local community.
