TYLER, Texas (KETK) – Authorities have arrested a fugitive suspect Tyler police described as “armed and dangerous.”

Jeffery A. Johnston, 34, was captured in the area of North Northeast Loop 323 and Morningside Drive after authorities established a search perimeter.

Tyler police and the Smith County Sheriff’s Office were aided by K-9 units and drones in the search.

Jeffery was wanted on multiple charges. According to the Smith County Sheriff’s Office, Johnston took off when authorities attempted to serve a warrant on him.

TYLER, Texas (KETK) – Tyler police are seeking information on a fugitive wanted on several charges.

Jeffery A. Johnston, 34, is wanted by the for a parole violation, by Smith County for forgery, and by the Tyler Police Department for evading arrest/detention with a vehicle.

He is considered armed and dangerous.

Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case or any felony case.
