With Nacogdoches turning 300 this year many businesses are hosting fun events within the 300 hours before the Texas Blueberry Festival.
Many are sticking with the “300 years of blueberries theme”, such as the “bluest eyes in Texas” contest
As well as the “frozen goat” on North Street will be offering some special smoothies and Glass Castles, downtown, will give away etched glass nail files to the first 300 customers.
“We are having it to celebrate our tricentennial and the Texas Blueberry Festival together,” said Grace Handler, Texas Blueberry Festival Chair. “What we’re asking 300 hours leading up to the Texas Blueberry Festival is local businesses get together and do something and it doesn’t matter what.”
So if you’re visiting Nacogdoches and see a Blueberry Festival poster in a business window that means they have something planned for the city’s “blue ska do.”
