Man with more than 60 arrests jailed again in Lufkin

An East Texas man is behind bars after police say he was found to be intoxicated.
According to the Lufkin Police Department, on Sunday, around 10:40 a.m., officials responded to the 800 block of South Third Street in reference to a man who was acting irrationally.
When police arrived on scene, they say they found Gary Colquitt, 34, “lying in a ditch, flopping around and moaning.”
Police say when they tried to help him up, he became combative and began head-butting the ground.
Police took Colquitt to a local hospital before booking him into the Angelina County Jail on a count of public intoxication.
According to jail records, Colquitt has been arrested 63 times since 2000.
One of those arrests came in November 2015, when police responded to a gas station where Colquitt claimed he “had a snake in his rectum.”

Multiple failure to maintain financial responsibility charges
– Multiple no driver’s license charges
– Multiple possession of drugs charges
– Multiple public intoxication charges
– Assault family violence
– Multiple criminal trespassing charges
– Interfering with a 911 call
– Multiple assault causing bodily injury charges
– Threats
– Failure to identify 
– Giving false information
– Multiple evading arrest charges
– Multiple driving while intoxicated charges
– Resisting arrest
– Unauthorized use of a vehicle
