BULLARD, Texas (KETK) – On Wednesday, officials confirmed that an SUV crashed into the Bullard Post Office.

The driver of the SUV was hospitalized but reportedly did not suffer any major injuries.

The post office is closed and Bullard Fire Department is boarding up the hole in the wall. While the office is closed residents can drop off mail at the mailbox in the parking lot.

According to the Bullard Police Department, around 1:30 p.m. an SUV crashed into the Bullard Post Office and a wrecker was called around 2:05 p.m. to remove the vehicle from the building.

Staci Neal was working inside when she and other coworkers heard a loud bang.

“Bricks and glass started covering me. I grabbed my head (and) covered my face,” she said.

The employees then noticed a woman was alone in the car completely shocked.

“The car was still running with (her) foot on the gas, so I had to power through the door because there was bricks everywhere to put her car in park so she didn’t keep coming through the building,” Neal said.
