HARRISON COUNTY, Texas (KETK) – A suspect died following an officer-involved shooting in Harrison County on Thursday, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The Texas Rangers are investigating the shooting, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office said on Thursday.
The suspect’s name has not been released as of this writing.
On Thursday, deputies were called due to a fight on Lotta Road in Karnack, and this led to an officer-involved shooting, authorities said.
The sheriff asked the Texas Rangers to investigate, which is part of law enforcement protocol. Authorities said they will share more information when it becomes available.
