TYLER, Texas (KETK) — A 19-year-old man is in custody after a shooting that happened Tuesday afternoon in the 5100 block of Rhones Quarter Road around 3:17 p.m., officials said.

Police have confirmed that Jacob Gore, of Tyler, was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He is being held on a $250,000 bond.

Upon arrival, police found a 41-year-old man, who has been identified Dalton Morgan, of Henderson, in an ambulance where he received medical care for a single gunshot wound to the back, officials said. He is reported to be in stable condition.

According to a release, officers were told that the shooter left the scene in a vehicle while they were responding. Officials said a vehicle occupied by the suspect and a family member pulled up to the bank’s parking lot.

The 19-year-old male suspect was taken into custody without incident and taken to the Tyler Police Department for questioning, police said.

The victim was taken to the hospital and is reportedly in stable condition.
