UPDATE – A city crew has repaired the water main break near Ashley Furniture.
“Rain filled the hole where the crew was working which caused a delay, but they are continuing the repair now,” according to Lufkin Communications Director Jessica Pebsworth.
The feeder from Chevron to Ashley Furniture remains closed as of 8:30 p.m.
LUFKIN, Texas (KETK) — Water service will be disrupted in several areas in Lufkin on Wednesday due to a water main break that is being repaired, the city said.
The following areas are affected:
- Southwood Drive
- Christy Street
- College Drive
- The Palms Shopping Center, and nearby homes and businesses
Service is expected to be restored by Wednesday night.
