The 15th anniversary season for the Angelina Arts Alliance did exceptionally well and they are set to have another good season this year.
The current season will come to a close with a showing of Mamma Mia.
Then the 16th anniversary will kick off in September and one of the featured acts, Wynona Judd for a Christmas show.
The theater is lovely and those who run it say there is just something about live theater.
“People love playing in this space and there’s something really special about this theater,” said Tracy Pinkerton Angelina Arts Alliance Executive Director. “It’s very unusual to have a theater like this in a town our size. I think the artists feel it and we have great audiences. So you need to come and experience live theater there’s nothing like it.”
The overall goal of this is to bring events to Lufkin. This way people will not have to drive all the way to Houston or Dallas to see a fantastic show.
