Gladewater Police Department have placed one man in custody Thursday after he evaded arrest.

Darrell Harper, 19, was placed in custody for evading arrest/ detention with vehicle and possession of marijuana under two ounces in a drug free zone.

On Thursday, officers were conducting a patrol for narcotics in the area of Tenery Street as part of “Operation Cold Turkey” when one of them spotted a black Ford Crown Victoria with an expired registration sticker.
