Alto ISD heads back to school as community supports teacher in need

Top Stories

After storms hit the city of Alto last weekend, schools in the area have been working hard to reopen, and several students and faculty lost everything.

Alto elementary PE teacher Ms. Patricia Morgan had her home destroyed.

To help her, the community created a GoFundMe page, and are using this link to support Ms. Morgan.

Damage to the Alto ISD buildings will take millions of dollars to repair.

This morning, students are returning to class for the first time, helping the city to continue moving forward.

Work will continue on the buildings for a long period of time, but in the meantime, buses are running on their normal schedule.

The morning drop-off and pick up locations will stay the same, but some meeting locations have changed.

As of now, elementary students are meeting at the back porch entrance, middle school students report to their foyer, and high school students are gathering at the elementary school rotunda.
