UPDATE (10:15 A.M.) – According to Tony McColluh with Upshur County Rural Electric, the company had just finished installing a brand-new state of the art transformer that was also eco-friendly.
A tree had fallen on a line in that area, due to a large amount of water in the area.
“It has been such a heavy storm season, the ground is holding so much water and it is heavy on the trees.”
McColluh said that they re-routed power from Ore City to the Jefferson and Lake O’ The Pines communities, which were some of the most affected.
