The Texas Tech Red Raiders arrived in Minneapolis Wednesday, where they will continue their preparations the rest of the week for their first ever NCAA Final Four appearance.

The Red Raiders left from Lubbock around 7:15 a.m. Wednesday with hundreds of fans outside United Supermarkets Arena to see them off.  Many of those fans waited since well before sunrise to see them off.

They said, “Why not?  This team is making school history.”

The players were all smiles and giving high fives as they got on their bus.

Chris Beard’s squad takes on Michigan State in the second national semifinal Saturday around 7:49 p.m., following Auburn and Virginia.

Watch the video as Emily Falkenberg shows you the sights and sounds of the sendoff, and to hear from many of the fans, and students.
